The Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is the world’s most popular international curriculum for 12 – 18 year olds and is equivalent to GCSE in the United Kingdom.
Usually a student is required to have at least 5 credit passes in the IGCSE programme for them to further their studies in pre-tertiary level. However, students may take 8 to 9 subjects if they intend to apply for scholarships.
Our academic year runs from January to December, divided into 4 terms.
Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. After school programme (P.E., ECA & Bridging classes): 2:15 p.m. to 4:15p.m.
Heads Up International follows the Malaysian school holiday schedule.
School fees cover academic fees, registration fees, co-curricular activity fees, materials fees, and security deposit (for both Malaysian and Non-Malaysian students).
We limit the size of each class to a maximum of 25 students to ensure a healthy and balanced teacher-student ratio.
Students will be given regular modular tests and their progress can be viewed in the 1cubeapp. There will also be a mid-year and year-end exam for all subjects. Additionally, the Parent-Teacher’s Day is always an opportunity to get feedback from teachers. Parents can always also arrange to speak or meet with subject-specific teachers during office hours.
Students must always come to school in smart, modest and decent attire. They are required to wear their house T-shirt for P.E. and the ‘school-away’ T-Shirt during excursions, field trips and formal events in school.
