On the 15th of November 2014, our in-house Cambridge consultant Aidan Chan gave a talk about preparing personal statements for university applications. 40 students from Sunway College, mostly scholars, attended the 1-hour talk and also participated in the ensuing Q&A session. He stressed the importance of a good personal statement as it would be the first impression a university has of a prospective student, regardless of whether one was applying to the UK universities through the UCAS system, or Australian universities. He also briefly touched on the US university application system.
